Always check the airline’s information first

In case of strikes or other operational issues (such as bad weather or staff shortages), it’s important to follow the airline’s official updates. They will be the first to inform you about:

  • Cancellations or delays
  • Alternative flight
  • Possible compensation or rebooking

You can usually find this information first on the airline's website.

Can I change or cancel my flight?

That depends on the situation. In the event of a strike or cancellation, the airline often offers one of the following options:

  • Free rebooking to another flight
  • Full refund of the ticket
  • A voucher for future use

You’ll find these options in the email you receive from us or the airline.

What can we do for you?

We’re happy to help with questions about your booking or if you're unsure of your rights.
Please note: in case of a strike, we are bound by the airline’s policies. We can only make changes once the airline authorizes them.

Am I entitled to compensation?

For strikes involving airline staff (like pilots or cabin crew), you may be entitled to compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004. For help, see here.

This does not apply in force majeure situations, such as air traffic control strikes or extreme weather.
