A denied ESTA application or visa is of course very unfortunate, especially if your flight is already booked. Below you can read what your options are and what you need to consider.

Can I change my ticket to another date or destination?

This may be possible, depending on the conditions of your ticket and the airline. Please note the following:

  • Changes are only possible if your ticket allows it.
  • You can only change to flights with the same airline.
  • The change request must be submitted before the departure of your original flight.
  • The new destination often must not be outside the original region or route.
  • Change fees and fare differences may apply.

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

In many cases, the following applies:

  • Non-refundable ticket? Then unfortunately, no refund is possible, even with a denied ESTA or visa.
  • If you purchased cancellation insurance, contact your insurer directly. We cannot mediate in this.

What should I do now?

  1. Log in to your profile and submit a change request with your desired new travel date (or destination if allowed).
  2. We will then check:
    • Whether a change is possible;
    • What the costs are;
    • Whether there are available alternatives.
  3. You will receive a quote from us with payment instructions.
  4. No payment = no change. As long as you don’t pay, your original booking remains.
